Island Games

The International Island Games is a sporting event held in various island groups throughout the world. The event is overseen by the International Island Games Association. The event has been hosted my a wide range of locations:

2025 Orkney, The team has been selected. ILCA7: Andrew Leslie and Kyle Harcus, ILCA6 Kavan Kynoch and Ewan Sinclair.

2023 Guernsey, The team included Andrew Leslie in ILCA7, Joshua Brown and Kavan Kynoch both competed in the ILCA6.

In 2021 the Island Games was cancelled due to the ‘Covid Pandemic’.

2019 Gibraltar The team was Mark Holbrook and Andrew Leslie in full rigs, Joshua Brown in a Radial.

2017 Gotland: no sailing at this event.

2015 Jersey. In 2015 the Orkney team included Edward Johnston, Ross Sinclair in Radial Rigs, and Andrew Leslie in the standard rig.

2013 Bermuda. Andrew Leslie competed with a standard rig.

2011 Isle Of Wight. In 2011 Michal Meszka and Jonathan Walters competed, both in standard rigs.

2009 Aland. The Aland event had Andrew Leslie competing, standard rig.

2007 Rhodes. A full team of four took part, Ian Rushbrook and Lee Thomson in standard rigs and David Clouston and Andrew Leslie in Radials.

2005 Shetland. Orkney’s team consisted of Ian Rushbrook, Lee Thomson in standards, Andrew Leslie and Neil Brown in Radials.
